About Us

A very warm welcome to our family-run, independent café.

We’ve will have been open a full 5  years in March – what a journey it’s been! We’re delighted to now be catering for corporate away days, events and working lunches, funeral wakes and life celebrations,  and parties of all kinds, including baby showers and even a 102nd  birthday afternoon tea celebration.

Our art, pottery painting, craft, and flower arranging evenings have really taken off , with 20 workshops in 2025 and 8 already in the diary for 2026. We’ve raised funds for the local football team, Chums mental health charity, a number of cancer charities, individuals fundraising for school trips, Appledown Dog Rescue, and many others.

We’ve worked harder than we ever imagined and are proud to now have a fantastic team in place. Our customers – and the wider community we’re so proud to be a part of – have been wonderfully supportive, helping us achieve over 300 five-star reviews. Speaking of five stars, we also received top marks once again in our most recent Food Hygiene rating.

The Hub & Spoke is here to be at the heart of all the communities we serve. We’ve created a warm and welcoming space to meet, eat, drink, and connect – a place where you arrive as a customer and leave feeling good. A lively atmosphere, inviting environment, and good conversation are as important as the food and drinks in our bright, cosy place.

Our  Wi-Fi  is strong, and we’ve dotted phone chargers around the café … powering your tech while our coffee powers you.

Cyclists, walkers, dog owners (and their well-behaved dogs), remote workers,  e-bike buyers,  and anyone passionate about local community are especially welcome – you’re all close to our hearts.

All our food and drinks are made with great care, using top-quality ingredients from suppliers we know, like, and trust – people who share our values and love great food as much as we do.

We’re passionate about making sure there’s something for everyone, with a wide range of delicious Gluten-Free, Vegan, and Dairy-Free options across our pizzas, cakes, savouries, soups, and snacks.
